SXSW Round-up

Well what a week it was, 2 shows and 6 days of non-stop partying, beautiful weather and much debauchery we'd say we had a good one.
The first show @ Headhunters was a harsh introduction to the climate, jet-lag and pressure to be on the ball at shows but we pulled through and made some good friends and a favourite bar on Red River.
Following the struggle of the first day the nerves, build up and anxiety all kicked in, but after a hard day's flyering and networking in pink we pulled ourselves together to play a killer set at our main showcase, with the crowd joining us on-stage for renditions of Holidays in the Sun and London's Calling - what a night!
The rest of the week was spent seeing some great sets (The Bronx, Arc Angels, Mean Dinosaur, Tim Palmieri to name a few) missing loads (Julliete Lewis, Cage, Metallica, Steve Jones) and meeting some brilliant people and having some good times.
Texas is an amazing place with some of the finest, most hospitable people we've ever me - its a place we will go back to for sure!

Following our week-long come-down, getting back to the UK from SXSW, we thought we'd share some of the good times we had.

SXSW!

A massive, massive thanks to everyone that made it to our shows in Texas during SXSW!
We had a ball and made some great people out there! Hope to see y'all again soon!

SXSW Latest...

As you can see the Shovel are in full force at SXSW - we played our first US show @ Headhunters with none other than Billy Milano from S.O.D doing the sound and fuck me was it hot!
Spiro's tonight for the showcase @ 9pm - should be more acclimatised for this one.
The Bronx were awesome, Nobby's had us in tears (Pics to be uploaded soon) and we've already burnt all ends of the candle!
Now off to flyer in the pink t-shirts, the locals are loving it - they're so nice, I think "Faggot" means "Friend" over here - strange lingo!
